Cradle documentation
On this page
Cradle is a self-hosted records workspace for one business: tables and typed fields, linked records, forms and saved views, in a private workspace you run and change yourself.
Build a base
Open Records → Create base. Start from a template (Customer relationships, Launch readiness or Project tracker) or name your own tables and fields. Preview schema changes shows what will change before you adopt it, and you can edit the schema later the same way.
Work with your records
Each table opens as a grid. Filter, sort and group it, choose its visible columns and save the result as a view. Add and edit records in place, link them to records in other tables, and export the current view as CSV.
Bring your data in, and take it with you
- Importing a base brings in CSV files from another tool, or a Cradle base JSON file.
- Leaving and coming back covers the base JSON download, the CSV set and the current-view CSV.
- Installation archives move a whole installation between computers.
Connect it to your other tools
- Record automations notify, email, update a field, send a signed webhook or post to Slack when records change.
- The API reads and writes records with keys you issue in Settings → API keys.
Run it yourself
Install walks through running Cradle on your computer and hosting it in your own Cloudflare account.
